Senator Susan Collins has continued her perfect voting record and ended this legislative session with a consecutive voting streak that extends to 3,679 roll call votes. Senator Collins has been present for every roll call vote that has occurred in the Senate since she was sworn into office in January 1997.
Senator Collins said, “It continues to be my great honor and privilege to serve in the U.S. Senate representing the people of Maine. I take my responsibilities in the Senate seriously and know that Mainers expect me to be in the Senate chamber for roll call votes.” Senator Collins said that she continues to be inspired by former Senator Margaret Chase Smith who never missed a vote in 13 years before surgery forced her to miss her first vote.
In addition to not missing any recorded votes, Senator Collins continues to return home to Maine for weekends and during congressional recesses to meet with her constituents, visit communities throughout the State, and to spend time in her home in Bangor.
