Bath, ME – Today, U.S. Senator Susan Collins visited the Bath Area Food Bank (BAFB) to meet with staff and volunteers and to hear about the challenges of their work and thank them for their service to the local community. BAFB Executive Director Kimberly Gates and Mary Small, a volunteer at the food bank, led Senator Collins on a tour of the facility.
“The staff and volunteers at the Bath Area Food Bank work tirelessly to provide hot meals and groceries to individuals and families in need throughout the greater Bath area,” said Senator Collins. “I am thankful to have had the opportunity to see their operations firsthand and to express my appreciation to the many people who devote their time to making such a meaningful difference in the lives of hundreds of Mainers.”
The Bath Area Food Bank, which consists of the Bath Area Food Pantry and Bath Area Soup Kitchen, serves the communities of Bath, West Bath, Woolwich, Phippsburg, Arrowsic, and Georgetown.
