The 44,000 square foot UMF Education Center is designed to prepare future teachers and community health professionals in a fully state-of-the-art environment. New England is currently experiencing a shortage of qualified educators, and it is hoped that this new center will help cure the shortage.
Senator Collins served as the honorary chairperson of UMF’s Education Matters! Campaign for the Education Center, which raised funds for the $8.8 million facility.
