Funding Maine’s Future

As part of her Funding Maine’s Future initiative, Senator Collins, the Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, champions investments in Maine that will promote job creation, workforce training, and economic development; expand access to health care; improve public safety, infrastructure, and community resources; and protect our environment. In 2021, Congress reinstituted Congressionally Directed Spending. Following this decision, Senator Collins secured more than $1 billion for hundreds of Maine projects in FY2022, FY2023, and FY2024. In FY2026, Senator Collins has secured more than $425 million for 156 targeted investments throughout the state to date, including at least one project in each of Maine’s 16 counties.
