Washington D.C. - Senator Susan Collins today announced that Danielle Anderson from Waterville has been awarded an internship in Senator Collins'' Washington D.C. office this summer. She will assist the Senator with general daily operations in the press office such as researching and gathering newspaper articles. "It is pleasure to have Danielle working here with us in D.C." said Senator Collins. "An internship is a great learning experience and we are glad to give her the opportunity gain first hand experience to compliment her work toward a degree in Political Science." Anderson graduated from Waterville High School and is now a Political Science major with a minor in Psychology at the University of Maine at Orono. With her senior year around the corner, she is exploring several opportunities in the political field some of which include working for the CIA or the FBI.
