SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE HEALTH GRANTS FOR MAINE

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins announced that Maine has been awarded $983,060 in grants from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

"The federal grants distributed will allow health providers across the State to enhance and improve their services for all Mainers," Senators Snowe and Collins said in a joint statement. "The funds given to the Disability Rights Center of Maine are critical in advancing traumatic brain injury protection efforts across the State." The federal funding was allocated as follows:

• $500,000 to the Disability Rights Center of Maine for traumatic brain injury protection and advocacy. • $483,060 to the Maine General Medical Center in Augusta for implementation of health information technology in a rural health system.
