SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES FUNDS FOR MAINE

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Senators Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Susan Collins (R-ME) today announced that Maine has received $172,000 in funding from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. The grant was awarded to New Beginnings, Inc. for their Transitional Living Program (TLP) which provides homeless young adults with stable, safe living accommodations and services that help them develop the skills necessary for self-sufficient living.

"These federal funds will allow New Beginnings to better serve high-risk young adults in the Lewiston area," Snowe and Collins said in a joint statement. "Federal grants are critical to the enhancement of health and education services across Maine."
