SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE FUNDS FOR PENOBSCOT HEALTH CENTER

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Senators Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Susan Collins (R-ME) today announced that Penobscot Community Health Center has received $649,676 in funding from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. The funds where allocated through HRSA, a Division of Grants Management Operations.

"This grant is truly beneficial to the Penobscot Health Center in order to provide necessary health care services to the people of Maine," Senators Snowe and Collins said.

HRSA works to improve and extend life for people living with HIV/AIDS. The funds allocated by this program provide primary health care services for families through state programs, as well as train a health workforce that is both diverse and motivated to work in low-income communities. ###
