The federal funding was allocated as follows: • $82,458 to the Plymouth Fire Department • $57,780 to the Ashland Fire Department • $56,079 to the Ross Corner Fire Company • $52,904 to the Alexander Volunteer Fire Department • $43,242 to the Augusta Fire Department • $40,815 to the Moose River Fire Department • $27,000 to the Newcastle Fire Company • $23,625 to the Cornish Volunteer Fire Department
The above grants are to be used for fire operations and firefighter safety, which includes training, equipment, personal protective equipment, wellness and fitness, and modifications to fire stations and facilities.
