Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Patrick White, a Waldoboro native, has been awarded a spring internship in her Washington, D.C., office.  Patrick is the son of Scott and Carrie White of Waldoboro.

“It is always a pleasure to give Mainers an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine,” said Senator Collins.  “Patrick is a hard worker, and I am delighted to welcome him to my Washington, D.C., office.”

Patrick is a sophomore at the University of Maine in Orono, where he is majoring in political science.  He was selected for this internship through the University of Maine’s Peter Madigan '81 Congressional Internship Program. Patrick plans to pursue a career in public service.  He previously interned in Senator Collins’ Bangor office.
