SENATOR COLLINS WELCOMES CARIBOU NATIVE AS SUMMER INTERN

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senator Susan Collins today announced that Ian Swanberg, a Caribou native, has been awarded a summer internship in her Aroostook County office. Swanberg is a 2002 graduate of Caribou High School and son of John and Andrea Swanberg of Caribou.

"Ian is a good student and hard worker. I am very pleased to welcome him to my Caribou office," said Senator Collins. "I am always delighted to give students an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine. It is especially important that a student who was raised in Northern Maine will be helping to serve the needs of Aroostook County residents."

Swanberg will be entering the final year of his undergraduate program in the fall. He is currently studying both economics and political science at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He says that he looks forward to assisting the citizens and businesses of Maine.
