Senator Collins Welcomes Bangor, Hermon Natives to her Bangor Office

Bangor, ME – U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Charles Budd, a Bangor native, and Cody Porter, a Hermon native, have been awarded spring internships in her Bangor Constituent Services Center.  Charles is the son of Charles and Mary Budd.  Cody is the son of Darrin and Amy Porter.

 

“Charles and Cody are hard workers and will provide invaluable assistance to my office and to their fellow Mainers as interns,” said Senator Collins.  “I am always delighted to give students an opportunity to serve the citizens of Maine.”

 

Charles is a junior at Dartmouth College where he is majoring in quantitative social science and minoring in education.  At the College, he is involved in Directing through Recreation, Education, Adventure, and Mentoring (DREAM), a mentoring program that pairs students with low-income children with the goal of closing the opportunity gap.  In addition, he is a member of the Sports Analytics Club.  Following graduation, Charles plans to pursue a career in education.

 

Cody is a sophomore at the University of Maine where he is majoring in political science and minoring in legal studies and economics.  At UMaine, he serves as Chair of the College Republicans.  Upon graduation, Cody plans to attend law school with the goal of practicing constitutional law.
