Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Kate Leavitt, a Limestone native, has been awarded a spring internship in her Washington D.C., office. Kate is a 2015 graduate of Presque Isle High school and is the daughter of Steven and Dianne Leavitt of Limestone.

“Kate is a hard worker and a terrific student, and I am delighted to welcome her to my D.C. office,” said Senator Collins.  “I always enjoy giving Maine students the opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine.”

Kate is a 2019 graduate of the University of Maine, where she studied political science and sociology. She hopes to continue her career in public service.
