SENATOR COLLINS STATEMENT ON THE RETURN OF THE 94TH UNIT

WASHINGTON, DC—Following the return of the 94th Military Police Unit this afternoon, Senator Susan Collins released the following statement. The Unit arrived in Fort Drum, NY where they will undergo demobilizing processing, before they continue home to New Hampshire and Maine. Senator Collins is a Member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and has spent the past months working on behalf of families of the 94th Military Police Unit; arranging for the family members to meet with Department of Defense officials in addition to her own meetings with high-ranking Pentagon officials.

"After several months of waiting, the family members and loved ones of the 94th Police Unit members can finally see their family members face-to-face," Senator Collins said. "I commend the members of the 94th for their consistent and dedicated service to our country. I am happy to see that their long overdue return home is finally here."
