“Admiral Richardson and I share a strong commitment to our United States Navy, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with him to ensure that our Navy and our sailors are properly resourced and able to execute their critical missions around the world,” Senator Collins continued.

Admiral Richardson previously served as the Director of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. He was confirmed as CNO by the Senate on September 18, 2015. Admiral Richardson attended York High School in York, Maine.
