SENATOR COLLINS TO MARCH IN FRYEBURG FAIR PARADE

WASHINGTON, DC -- Senator Susan Collins will march in the Grand Parade at the Fryeburg Fair on Saturday, October 4th. The parade is scheduled to begin at 10am at the racetrack. Following the parade, Senator Collins will tour the fairgrounds and greet visitors.

"The Fryeburg Fair is one of the great traditions of Maine culture and a premier stage for our state's agricultural roots," said Senator Collins. "I always enjoy going to the Fryeburg Fair, seeing all the animals and exhibits that highlight Maine's variety of farming and agricultural treasures, and meeting the wonderful and hardworking people who keep this important tradition vibrant and successful."

The Fryeburg Fair is billed as Maine's largest agricultural fair. Officially known as The West Oxford Agricultural Society, the Fair is now composed of 16 towns in Maine and 6 towns in New Hampshire. The grand parade includes marching bands, farm and logging trucks, antique cars, and almost every animal that is on exhibit at the fair.
