Senator Collins Hires Aroostook County Natives to Her Washington, D.C., Office

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Elsa Thibodeau, a Stockholm native, and Jacob Towle, a Presque Isle native, have both been hired as staff assistants in her Washington, D.C., office. Elsa will work in Senator Collins’ personal office, while Jacob will join Senator Collins’ staff on the Senate Aging Committee. Elsa and Jacob recently completed their fall internships in Senator Collins’ D.C. office, and Elsa previously interned in Senator Collins’ constituent service centers in Caribou and Bangor.

“Both Elsa and Jacob demonstrated a strong work ethic and made valuable contributions to my office during their internships,” said Senator Collins. “I am pleased that they will continue to serve Mainers as members of my staff in Washington, D.C.”

Jacob and Elsa are both 2016 graduates of the University of Maine. Jacob majored in business marketing and management, and Elsa has a degree in international affairs, with a concentration in women and gender studies.
