Senator Collins Announces Communications Staff Changes

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced today that Kevin Kelley, Communications Director and a member of Senator Collins’ team for 10 years, is leaving for a new opportunity with Pew Charitable Trusts.

“I have been so fortunate to have Kevin on my communications staff for an extraordinary 10 years,” said Senator Collins. “During that time, he was promoted to Director of Communications and coordinated all of my national, state, and local communications as well as social media. Kevin is a terrific person, a man of integrity and intelligence, and a close friend. I shall miss his wise counsel and wish him all the best in his new position with Pew Charitable Trusts.”

Kevin will be replaced as Communications Director by Alleigh Marré. Alleigh most recently served on Scott Walker’s successful 2014 gubernatorial campaign in Wisconsin.

“I am delighted that Alleigh has joined our team as my new Director of Communications,” said Senator Collins. “She brings abundant energy, enthusiasm, and experience to this important position and will help ensure that my constituents are kept well-informed of my efforts in the United States Senate."

Prior to Governor Walker’s campaign Alleigh served as a Regional Press Secretary at the National Republican Congressional Committee and as Press Secretary on Senator Scott Brown’s reelection campaign in Massachusetts. Alleigh has also worked in health care and technology communications, and is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.
