COLLINS RELEASES STATEMENT ON BOMBING OF UN HEADQUARTERS IN BAGHDAD
"The international community must join the United States in condemning the bombing of the Untied Nations Headquarters in Baghdad. This act of terrorism against peaceful international interests cannot go unpunished.
"We must also recognize this violent act is another example of the dire need for the world community to help win the peace in Iraq.
"Iraq is still a very dangerous region of the world and we must work together to ensure the most basic health and safety needs of the Iraqi people. We must also provide the support and resources needed to ensure the safety of our troops and humanitarian workers.
"I deplore this most violent attack on the very workers who were dedicated to providing aid and bringing peace to the Iraqi people."
