SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE $500,000 IN FEDERAL FUNDING TO HELP DISABLED WORKERS IN MAINE

WASHINGTON, D.C.-U.S. Senators Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Susan Collins (R-ME) today announced $500,000 in federal funds for Maine from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. The federal funding will be allocated toward a program called CHOICES Comprehensive Employment Opportunities (CEO).

"This funding will provide critical job support to the people of Maine," said Senators Snowe and Collins in a joint statement. "The program will provide Maine communities with the knowledge and opportunity to expand and bloom."

CHOICES CEO is a project designed for people with disabilities who work or wish to work. The program aims to maximize opportunities and improve exiting policies for disabled people as well as engage employers to identify barriers to hiring retaining disabled employees.
