SENATORS SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE MORE THAN $650,000 IN FUNDING FOR MAINE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES

              U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe and U.S. Senator Susan Collins today announced that the Maine Department of Health and Human Services has received two grants totaling $686,131 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  $207,901 will be awarded to establish an Individual Development Account program for refugees while $478,230 will be awarded to assist with Medicare and Medicaid Community Services               “We are pleased to see that this funding will be going to Maine,” noted Senators Snowe and Collins in a joint statement.  “These two grants will also Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services better ensure that Mainers have the services they need.”
