The League of Conservation Voters (LCV), an independent group devoted to environmentally sound public policy, today announced that U.S. Senator Susan Collins has received a perfect score of 100% on LCV monitored votes in the Senate over the past year. This score recognizes that Senator Collins has supported environmentally-sound policies, supported by the LCV, during the past session of Congress. The score is part of LCV’s annual Congressional Scorecard.
“I am pleased to be one of just 27 Senators to receive a perfect score from the League of Conservation Voters,” noted Senator Collins. “I remain committed to promoting sound environmental policies and protecting the natural beauty of our nation.”
Votes on issues monitored by the LCV include, global warming legislation, clean energy tax credits, energy prices, low-income energy assistance, and fuel standards.
