Senators Collins, King Announce More Than $1.4 Million to Support Communities in Kennebec and Cumberland Counties Harmed by COVID-19

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King announced that $1,412,525 has been awarded to support the growth and revitalization of industries in Kennebec and Cumberland counties that have suffered financial harm as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  This funding was awarded through the Economic Development Administration’s (EDA) CARES Act Recovery Assistance Program.

“In order for the American people to have faith in their elected officials, we must act fairly and consistently—no matter which political party is in power.  President Trump has the constitutional authority to make a nomination to fill the Supreme Court vacancy, and I would have no objection to the Senate Judiciary Committee's beginning the process of reviewing his nominee's credentials.

Senator Collins Announces More Than $6.6 Million to Support Affordable Housing Efforts in Maine Amid COVID-19

Senator Collins Joins Bipartisan Push for START Agreement Extension

Washington, D.C. ­— U.S. Senator Susan Collins joined Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Rand Paul (R-KY), and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) in urging the administration to immediately extend the New START arms control agreement with Russia for another five years.  The treaty is set to expire in February 2021, but can be extended for up to five years.
