Gorham Native and President of the Maine Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association Meets with Senator Collins

Approximately 37,000 families in Maine are affected by Alzheimer’s disease

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Susan Collins met with William Jenks, of Gorham, President of the Maine Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, in Washington, D.C., this morning.

“Alzheimer’s disease is a devastating condition that takes a tremendous personal and financial toll on far too many families across our state,” said Senator Collins. “I was delighted to meet with Bill to discuss our shared priority of increasing funding for Alzheimer’s research and our work to ensure both patients and their caregivers receive the support they need.”

Senator Collins is the Chairman of the Senate Aging Committee and the founder and Co-Chair of the Senate Alzheimer’s Task Force.
